Yes, Lots of nutrition professionals offer dietary support and advice online and over the phone, and this can be beneficial for clients who cannot attend face-to-face sessions
A nutritional therapist assesses a person’s nutritional needs to achieve optimal physiological function. This means the maintenance of homeostasis, a position of wellbeing we all seek, but many fail to achieve. Nutritional therapy is not a one pill wonder: it is a change in lifestyle to bring your body back to optimum health. Although you may see some immediate improvements it can take the body time to come back into balance.
It’s important to remember that nutritional therapy is not intended as a substitute for medical advice and if a practitioner identifies any 'red flag' symptoms indicative of a serious health issue, they will refer clients on to an appropriate medical professional.
During your initial consultation we focus on:
MYMOP FORM – Measure Yourself Medical Outcome Profile, where we assess your main symptoms
We look at – Previous medical history, Prescription medications – past and present, Herbal and natural supplement, Family history. We dig deeper into our body systems – such as gastrointestinal tract, nervous system, endocrine function, reproductive systems, allergies and immunity, respiratory tract, urinary tract, cardiovascular system, musculo-skeletal system, skin. We discuss food intake.
We discuss compliance with the initial plan and achievements, successes, challenges and how we can move forward.
The initial consultation is £89. Follow up consultations are £69. Or there is an option of buying a package for £207 (this includes 1 x initial consultation and 2 x follow ups) The package option is the most popular and is also the most successful in helping clients attain their desirable results. The package can be spread over 3 months which helps motivate clients to become committed to new lifestyle changes and achieving long term results.
Alternatively, I am available for one off, 30 minute consultations (cost £40) Please follow the link on the homepage for the 'free consultation'.
There is no specific quantity or rule on how many consultations you will need. This will depend very much on your personal circumstances and what your health objectives are. Clients ask for advice at different stages of their life for different problems.
It is advisable to have specific test done because this will help us to dig deeper into your health concern and eliminates any guess work in our nutritional protocol. Testing show us what’s going on internally, and we can target specific areas. These functional tests are comprehensive and provide great overview how our body works. Certain, more simple tests can be done through you GP such as assessment of vitamin D status, Ferritin levels etc.

"I initially contacted Martina regarding symptoms I had started to experience on a daily basis. Prior to this my GP had suggested a possible diagnosis and recommended medication that might help. However, I wanted a more natural, long term solution so I decided to seek nutritional advice. After my free consultation, I was confident that Martina could help and I felt really positive about getting to the root cause of my symptoms. I found her approachable, empathetic and extremely knowledgeable. She was thorough and really took the time to understand my concerns. She also suggested tests to help look at my digestive functions and helped to arrange these. Martina also took into account aspects of my lifestyle in addition to my nutrition and I liked this holistic approach. I cannot thank Martina enough for her support and guidance. I found the nutritional and wellness plans clear and Informative and they were a useful reference. The recommendations were easy to implement and suggestions for certain products, and where to get them from, were very helpful. Martina also offered clear explanations and nutritional theory behind her recommendations, which I really appreciated. I have benefited a lot from the changes I have made and my symptoms are now under control. I have also learnt so much about my nutrition and lifestyle and I feel well informed to make choices that will benefit my overall health and well-being going forward. I’m so happy that Martina has helped me to achieve this through natural additions to my diet and lifestyle, without the need for medication or supplements. I would recommend Martina without hesitation, my only regret is that I didn’t contact her sooner."
"Thank you for your time, care and attention throughout the year. My GP was most unhelpful and put me on prescription drugs which did not help at all. You asked constructive questions and devised diagnostic tests to get to the root cause of the problem and then set about solving it. Thank you so much, I would be happy to recommend your services to anyone. Best wishes, David in Kent."
